Four young South Australians will learn the ropes of a maritime career under a new cadetship program which includes sailing on the tall ship the One and All.

Two of these cadets will be sponsored by Flinders Ports, where the cadets – who will be selected by an application process – will spend 60 days at sea as well as undertake educational courses at the Australian Maritime and Fisheries Academy in Port Adelaide.

They will also be assigned to work experience with companies in the maritime industry, starting with Flinders Ports, which is a major sponsor of the 12-month program.

The program is open to all South Australians over 18, and applications close on January 31, 2020.
