The move sees the creation of Flinders Port Holdings Pty Ltd as the parent company for six distinct business divisions, with chief executive officer Vincent Tremaine heading the group.

“This new structure has resulted from a review of our activities and opportunities for future expansion,” Tremaine said.

“It will allow greater focus on each individual business unit and enhance the distinct and separate nature of each business.”

The new structure has meant personnel changes within the group.

“The emphasis for the group in 2013 will be on improvement and efficiency. We will be modernising the business, investing in new equipment and driving growth.”

Flinders Port Holdings Pty Ltd is the holding company for the group’s ports, port management, logistics, container terminal, property, and Spencer Gulf ports businesses.

The company, formed in 2001 and originally incorporated as Flinders Ports Pty Ltd, was the successful bidder in the privatisation of South Australia’s ports.

The group operates seven ports in South Australia.
